Helping Managers to tackle POOR PERFORMANCE in the workplace

Helping Managers to tackle POOR PERFORMANCE in…

Many businesses and managers are rubbish at tackling poor performance issues.

Poor performance is not something that can be fixed simply by following a procedure that says:

  • This is what is needed
  • If you don’t provide it
  • You will be dismissed

Many employers who take this approach are astounded when employment tribunals find that the dismissal was unfair.

This is because people are ‘messy’.

  • They don’t hear what they are being told
  • They have their own ideas of what is required of them - and
  • They don’t accept that they can’t deliver

Your managers must ensure from the outset that employees truly understand what is required of them.  Employees will then come to realise for themselves whether they can or can’t deliver this.  If they can’t, we can ease their passing …. on to the next business.

Procedures are helpful but they are not the answer.  The confidence and skills to manage people is what makes the difference.

We provide training to ensure that your managers have the confidence and skills to deliver excellent performance from their team.
